Custodes: Shield Captain (77-06) is a plastic miniatures kit from Games Workshop, compatible with both Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. It builds a single, highly detailed character model representing a Shield-Captain of the Adeptus Custodes.
A Shield-Captain is a peerless warrior-commander of the Legio Custodes, combining superhuman skill with the finest wargear the Imperium can provide to lead the Emperor's bodyguard in battle. The model is armed with an eternity blade and a praesidium shield, and the kit includes a choice of two heads — helmeted or bare — allowing for extra customisation. In games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, the same model can also be assembled to represent a Tribune.
The kit is cast in plastic and supplied unpainted and unassembled; glue and paints are sold separately. As a commanding centrepiece character, the Shield-Captain makes an excellent leader for a Custodian Guard Sodality or any other Adeptus Custodes force, in either Warhammer 40,000 or the Horus Heresy setting.
