Wood Elf Realms: Battle March Army is a boxed army set of 28 multipart plastic miniatures for the Warhammer: The Old World tabletop miniatures wargame by Games Workshop. It is purpose-built for the Battle March game mode, a smaller-scale, faster-paced format designed for forces of between 400 and 750 points, making it an ideal and affordable way to start a new Wood Elf Realms collection or expand an existing one.
The force is led by Araloth, Lord of Talsyn, royal champion of Queen Ariel, who commands a disciplined and mobile warband of infantry, archers and cavalry. The box builds:
The Eternal Guard carry long Asrai spears and optional shields, or can instead be assembled as Wildwood Rangers wielding heavy two-handed glaives. The Sisters of the Thorn combine deadly magic with blackbriar javelins, while their alternate build, the Wild Riders of Kurnous, charge in with vicious hunting spears. Glade Guard (or Deepwood Scouts) bring plenty of Asrai longbow firepower to harass the enemy from range, while the swift Glade Riders add the speed needed to outmanoeuvre opponents and strike at vulnerable flanks. Most unit options include components to build an optional champion, standard bearer and musician, and heads and weapons are interchangeable across the kit for extensive customisation. Decorative spirits are also included to personalise the bases.
Together these units form an agile, hard-to-pin-down army that favours hit-and-run tactics, ranged harassment and rapid repositioning over slow, static warfare. The set contains 383 plastic components, 20 Citadel 25mm square slotta bases, 5 Citadel 30mm x 60mm rectangle bases, 4 Citadel 30mm x 60mm rectangle slotta bases, a Wood Elf Realms transfer sheet with high-quality waterslide transfers, and a construction guide. Miniatures require assembly and are supplied unpainted.
A strong pick for anyone wanting to field a complete, varied Wood Elf Realms force straight out of the box, or looking to add a fast, elite strike force to an existing Warhammer: The Old World army.
