Apostle is a Warhammer 40,000 novel, written by David Annandale, available here in paperback format (item code BL3350).
Legitur is a world devoted entirely to the sacred writings of the Imperial Creed, endlessly producing mountains of scripture and considering itself an exemplar of piety. But beneath its towering paper hives lie deep secrets, undreamt of by the ruling Ecclesiarchy, and one being was born of them: Cerastes, Dark Apostle of the Word Bearers.
Cerastes once called this world home. His host was crushed by the fearsome Palatine Aesura and her Sororitas of the Order of the Thorn, but his dark ambition remains undaunted. He has returned, bowed but not broken, to finish what he started: resurrecting the Eightfold Bane and converting the world he once knew to the worship of Chaos.
Told from the perspective of a Dark Apostle of the Word Bearers, this novel delves into themes of faith, fanaticism and corruption, pitting the fanatical zeal of Chaos against the hated Adepta Sororitas. It's a compelling read for fans of the Word Bearers, Chaos Space Marines lore, and anyone who enjoys a grim tale of vengeance and religious conflict set in the far future of the 41st Millennium.
